As an Operations Test Engineer, you will oversee and execute of testing rocket engines and
associated subsystems for our Dauntless launch vehicle. This role will serve as a key interface
between the Test and Propulsion teams, ensuring successful integration, preparation, and
execution of propulsion system tests. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test
operations, a strong understanding of propulsion systems, and the ability to manage test
campaigns from setup through post-test data review

environment, collaborating to develop innovative solutions in all areas, while demonstrating personal
leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. A willingness to branch outside your comfort
zone is essential were a small fast-paced company and everyone pitches in when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute static fire tests and ground support equipment (GSE) operations
for Dauntless rocket engines and subsystems.
Develop and maintain detailed test procedures, test plans, and risk assessments tailored to
rocket propulsion and integrated vehicle systems.
Operate and troubleshoot data acquisition and control systems during test operations.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and
repeatable test campaigns.
Support vehicle assembly, integration, and pre-test checkouts to verify system functionality.
Lead root cause investigations and post-test data analysis to identify anomalies and support
continuous improvement.
Manage test logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, and interface with suppliers
and subcontractors.
Maintain compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standards.
Support the development and refinement of ground test infrastructure to improve operational
efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
BSci in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering
discipline.
3+ years of experience in test operations or test engineering in aerospace, launch vehicle, or
propulsion test environments.
Hands-on experience with propulsion test stands, ground support equipment, or rocket engine
test operations preferred.
Strong understanding of test data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and control software.
Familiarity with propulsion systems, vehicle integration, and launch operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering standards and technical requirements, including
plumbing and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Experience programming in LabVIEW or similar software, and integrating data acquisition
systems and sensors into test stands.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, and weekends during
test campaigns.
US Person as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents,
refugees, and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted
amnesty) since work includes ITAR controlled technical data.
Preferred Qualifications
MSci in Aerospace Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
Working knowledge of hybrid rocket engine concepts.
Understanding of appropriate test methodologies for rocket engine hardware.
Experience with cradle-to-grave engine or complex propulsion system testing, including
planning, execution, and data analysis, as well as knowledge of vehicle systems integration,
flight readiness verification and rocket propulsion safety protocols.
Proficiency programming in LabVIEW or similar software, with a strong background
integrating aerospace-related sensors and data acquisition systems into test stands. Familiarity
with configuration management software and procedures
