SUMMARY:

Functional duties: Perform systems engineering duties in architecting, designing, integrating and testing aircraft and weapons systems. May conduct basic and applied research to evaluate adaptability of computer software and hardware to aircraft design and manufacture. May recommend improvements in testing equipment and techniques. Performs the role of System Architect. Makes recommendations about Human Systems Engineering Department.

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Poly

We're seeking a senior-level Systems Engineer to drive the design, integration, and lifecycle management of mission-critical systems for a high-impact government program. You'll work with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and refine system architectures using DoDAF/UAF, manage complex interface controls, and ensure full compliance with evolving standards and stakeholder needs.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead system requirements development, functional allocation, and architecture design (DoDAF, SOA, etc.)

  • Develop SE documentation: system plans, ICDs, requirements specs, CONOPS

  • Guide risk management efforts and analyze data flows, dependencies, and mission threads

  • Drive verification, validation, and configuration management across lifecycle phases

  • Collaborate across disciplines to deliver fully integrated hardware/software systems

  • Contribute to interface definition, trade studies, and reliability analysis

What You Bring:
  • 20+ years' experience in systems engineering with strong DoD program background

    • 5 years may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree
  • Expertise in SOA implementation, JCIDS documentation, and IA/security frameworks

  • Skilled in risk management, EVM, integration planning, and configuration control

  • Strong working knowledge of DoDAF/UAF modeling and interface definition

Required Experience:
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in Systems Engineering supporting DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems, consisting of the design, development, integration and system testing of computer hardware, computer software, and navigation, sensor, and communication subsystems.
