Position Summary The Sales Engineer operates at the intersection of sales and engineering. The ideal candidate can articulate technology and product positioning at executive, business, and technical levels. They are the primary technical support for the sales team, responsible for managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, ensuring success with all Harness customers, and strategizing with sales teams to foster commercial relationships.

Work directly with customers to debug common errors.
Connect business problems to technical solutions.
Understand and articulate the value propositions of our technology.
Drive complex technical engagements to demonstrate the value of Harness solutions.
About You
You will deliver compelling product demonstrations that showcase how our software provides value to customers.
You will represent the product at customer meetings and industry events.
You will stay informed about technological updates and developments.
You have a background as a developer or have worked closely with developers in a DevOps role.
You possess strong cloud knowledge and experience with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform.
You can respond to RFIs/RFPs with technical and functional insights.
You can communicate customer requirements effectively to engineering teams.
You are willing and able to travel within your sales territory with minimal restrictions and on short notice.
Location This role is based out of our San Francisco, CA office.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $145,000 - $218,000 annually. Salary is determined by factors including location, experience, and skills. More details about our benefits can be found on our website. Valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
