Description Join our dynamic team as a Senior Network Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise to design, configure, and maintain network systems that are crucial for our SAP landscapes. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring optimal network performance and reliability for SAP applications, while collaborating with a diverse range of IT professionals to support business operations, enhance security compliance, and lead disaster recovery initiatives. Primary Responsibilities: Design, configure, and upkeep network infrastructure that supports SAP systems.
Monitor network performance and implement enhancements to optimize the performance of SAP applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues that affect SAP applications.
Collaborate closely with SAP Basis Administrators for seamless platform integration.
Manage network access controls, routing, firewall rules, and VLAN configurations essential for SAP environments.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and assist in being audit-ready.
Document network configurations, topology diagrams, and operational procedures for future reference.
Provide comprehensive support for SAP system migrations, upgrades, and patch management.
Engage in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution with cross-functional IT teams.
Basic Qualifications: TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is a must.
Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in network engineering support, including planning, designing, and evaluating network systems.
Ability to perform keen assessments of network needs and provide specifications for architecture.
Hands-on experience with the installation, monitoring, modification, testing, and servicing of network equipment.
Strong troubleshooting capabilities to resolve complex network challenges.
Experience in managing routing and switching protocols, particularly BGP.
Proficient in configuring and maintaining networking hardware, such as routers, switches, and access points.
Knowledge of load balancers and firewall configurations for optimized traffic and security.
Experienced with network management tools to ensure connectivity, security, and performance.
Understanding of network security practices including detection and mitigation of threats.
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with internal teams and clients on technical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications: Robust background in network architecture design with experience in end-to-end infrastructure solutions.
Experience with evaluating and recommending new technologies to enhance network capabilities.
Proven ability to develop technical solutions that require extensive collaboration and analysis.
Self-motivated and able to work independently on high-impact projects with little supervision.
Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of junior technical staff.
Broad understanding of interdisciplinary technical domains beyond core networking.
Engagement in disaster recovery planning and contributing to technical audits.
Familiarity with networking requirements in SAP environments.
Experience with advanced load balancing strategies and routing protocols.
