As a Senior Network Engineer at Eurofins Environmental Testing America, you'll be a key contributor in architecting, securing, and optimizing the enterprise network infrastructure supporting dozens of laboratories and thousands of users across North America. Your expertise will help ensure the availability, security, and scalability of critical systems across a multi-site environment. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to lead initiatives, mentor staff, and work on enterprise-grade solutions in a fast-paced, high-impact setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Network Architecture & Engineering Design and recommend scalable, secure network solutions to support growing business needs
Configure and install enterprise-grade network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Implement advanced routing, switching, and VPN configurations (e.g., BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, IPSec, SSL)
Assist with the design and deployment of MPLS networks, QoS policies, and port-aggregation strategies
Security & Monitoring Develop and implement network security protocols and best practices
Manage firewall rule sets, ACLs, VPN configurations, and network segmentation
Continuously monitor, analyze, and respond to network alerts and alarms
Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network performance and security issues
Project & Team Leadership Lead technical aspects of IT infrastructure projects across the enterprise
Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor for junior engineers
Collaborate cross-functionally with server, storage, application, and desktop teams
Contribute to enterprise-wide technology initiatives including cloud integration and security upgrades
Documentation & Support Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configuration, and assets
Define and improve network operations procedures and standard operating protocols
Support VoIP and telephony-related troubleshooting
Provide secure VPN access and support to remote users and labs across North America
Prepare network performance and availability reports for leadership
Perform related duties and assignments as needed in support of IT operations
Plus additional responsibilities as needed.

Ability to work a flexible schedule in a 24x7x365 environment
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Travel required for site implementation and support
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR
Associate degree with 8+ years of experience, OR
10+ years of equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
Strong experience with Cisco, Fortigate and Checkpoint networking hardware and software
Experience deploying and managing Next Generation Firewalls
Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts: BGP, MPLS, QoS, VLANs, EIGRP, static routing, trunking
Familiarity with SD-WAN, micro-segmentation, and other modern enterprise networking trends
Previous exposure to highly regulated environments is a plus
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, enterprise IT environment
Comfortable working with minimal supervision
Passion for continuous learning and professional growth
Natural curiosity and interest in emerging network technologies
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
