Senior Hardware Systems Integration Engineer

Department Overview:
Reporting to a Sr. Manager, we are looking for someone interested in board and system modification, integration, and validation, with a passion for getting things done. You will work with a team of 10+ Engineers to modify boards and systems, integrate, and validate HW platforms for current and next-generation products. This role offers an opportunity to be involved in all phases of the HW development cycle to support new product launches and feature development.
Responsibilities:
Modify multi-layer boards with fine-pitch components and rack-mount systems with metallic parts.
Integrate hardware systems, set up, configure, bring-up, and validate hardware.
Measure power, high-speed differential signals, and single-ended signals using oscilloscopes and meters.
Collaborate with teams to improve product quality and implement engineering changes.
Work closely with software, hardware, and ASIC developers.
Job Experience Required:
10+ years of experience in complex board and system modifications with a high success rate.
Proficiency in modifying complex multi-layer PCBs and metallic parts for rack-mount systems.
Experience measuring eye diagrams and waveforms of high-speed signals.
Ability to measure voltage and current of power signals.
Experience in system setup, configuration, bring-up, and validation in Windows and Linux.
Investigation of production issues and implementation of engineering changes.
Familiarity with electrical component procurement and mechanical parts.
Knowledge of AC and DC power sources.
Ability to read schematics and familiarity with Orcad and Allegro tools.
Programming experience with Flash, CPLD, and FPGA; familiarity with Altera and Lattice tools preferred.
Manage external labs and suppliers.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Education Requirement:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.)
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$158,000. Fortinet offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, sick leave, and a comprehensive leave program. Salary offers are based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location. All roles are eligible for the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at hire and annually.
