We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our progressive Engineering firm. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team of dedicated professionals delivering top-notch civil engineering solutions. The successful candidate will be involved in a wide array of projects, ranging from residential to commercial developments, land development, and roadway projects.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects, including grading, site development, and erosion control. 2. Utilizing Civil3D software to create detailed, accurate models and simulations. 3. Conducting hydrological studies and assessments to inform the design process. 4. Overseeing the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates. 5. Providing technical guidance and supervision to junior engineering staff. 6. Ensuring all projects adhere to local and national engineering standards and regulations. 7. Collaborating with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities. 8. Managing project timelines and budgets, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget. 9. Conducting site inspections and assessments to ensure construction is carried out as per the design and specifications. 10. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. 2. Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT Certification 3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development, site development, and grading. 4. Proficiency in Civil3D and other relevant software. 5. Extensive knowledge of hydrology and erosion control principles. 6. Experience working on both residential and commercial development projects. 7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. 9. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous professional development.
