Arrow International, Inc. is seeking to add a Principal Hardware Engineer to our world-class Gaming Systems Team, based in Cleveland, Ohio. This position is integral to the development of and successful launch of new and exciting server-based electronic gaming products in our E-Gaming Division.

Essential Duties And Responsibilites

Lead architectural development efforts on platform and product level tasks Use technical organization skills to plan and implement projects Propose new features to products Provide alternative solutions to issues Participate in production support and problem resolution Participate in research and development of experimental designs and systems Mentoring of non-senior development staff

Requirements

Requirements: 10 plus years of Product Development experience in the Gaming Field with additional experience in complementary markets; Leadership experience in electrical tasks with mechanical and software elements; Project and Technical organizational skills to work within and outside the organization to define and implement long term goals.

Education: 4 year degree minimum with additional work experience; BSEE or BSCompE

Expected Skills And Tasks

Lead electrical development efforts on product level tasks; use technical organization skills to plan and implement projects; propose new features to products; provide alternative solutions to issues; work toward optimum solutions. Apply project implementation skills for planning, tracking and progress reporting.

Apply product development, design skills and creativity from the implementation of a prototype to product manufacture. Complete electronic and electromechanical projects in cooperation with technical staff within and outside the company; Interface with vendors as needed.

Hardware Design Solutions Will Range From Microcontroller Based Custom Circuit Boards To Implementing Third Party Peripherals And Defining Cabinet Level Products. Work Will Include

Define and lead the testing of development projects, with progression toward production.

The ability to create documentation on test, assembly and operation is a necessity.

Work with system and software engineers to complete product level solutions.

Contribute to software development discussions with awareness of the implications of changes to the overall product.

Experience With Electrical And Safety Test Certification Is Required.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Handle multiple projects with shifting priorities.

Support production of new and existing products.
