Strivector's premier client (a well-known market leader in their space) is hiring for the following full-time direct hire position.
POSITION OVERVIEW As a PLC Controls Engineer , your roles and responsibilities will include: Proficient with Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000) and HMI's; Siemens or other languages are a plus. Basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic control systems. Read, follow, and implement customer-specific controls design standards. Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and device data sheets. Commission and debug automation systems. Apply common sense to execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Interface with Mechanical Design, shop trades, and customers. Use testing and metering devices. Ensure compliance with customer specifications. Collaborate with design teams and project management to update designs. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willing to travel up to 75%, depending on project needs.
QUALIFICATIONS Most importantly, you need to be a passionate PLC Controls Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal PLC Controls Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following: Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of controls experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. We understand that even if you are a seasoned PLC Controls Engineer you may not have all the skills listed here.
