Platform Infrastructure Engineer with Security Clearance

Maximus is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will take charge of deploying and maintaining various platform infrastructures supporting multiple applications. Your expertise will be vital as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and secure technical architecture, delivering scalable and reliable solutions. This position requires on-site attendance five days a week and involves eligibility to obtain a secret security clearance. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Manage application integration, utilizing current networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls). Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures. Create and implement automation scripts and tools for streamlined platform management. Deploy and manage virtualization with VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems. Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools, focusing on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Leverage monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Patch and manage systems through Red Hat Satellite Server. Provide hardware support for servers and workstations. Assist with additional tasks as required. Minimum Requirements: Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; dual citizenship is not permitted. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure is beneficial but not required. A proactive team player, capable of working independently to support critical operations. Must reside within a commutable distance for daily on-site work and be available for on-call requirements. Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule for 24/7 system uptime. Preferred Qualifications: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) is preferred.
