Platform Infrastructure Engineer (Security Clearance Required)

Maximus is seeking an experienced and motivated Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the deployment and maintenance of various platforms that support multiple applications. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams while overseeing technical architecture and delivering scalable, reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and optimize system performance, implementing effective corrective actions on existing platforms. Manage application integration using modern networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls. Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain comprehensive security incident response plans and procedures. Create and implement automation scripts and tools to enhance platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks. Deploy and manage machines utilizing VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems effectively. Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Employ monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server and provide hardware support for servers and workstations. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Active Secret clearance is required. Only U.S. Citizens may apply. Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. At least 4 years of hands-on experience with OpenShift. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure is a plus. A proactive team player who can work independently in mission-critical operations. Ability to commute for daily onsite work and participate in an on-call rotation. Willingness to support systems requiring 24x7x365 uptime. Preferred Skills: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, RHCE, or RHCA certifications are advantageous.
