A LaserAway Laser Engineer will be responsible for all the laser maintenance, safety, and team communication that ultimately support all clinic operations. Continuous assessments and improvements allow our team to remain efficient and effective at LaserAway.
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 Annual Salary
Overall Responsibilities:
Oversee all laser maintenance within the assigned territory
Monitor ticket system, communication platforms, and emails for prompt responses
Support New Store Openings by ensuring all equipment is functional
Contribute to positive moral environments within clinic operations
Establish positive co-worker partnerships for operational effectiveness
Timely ticket responses to ensure operational readiness
Ability to exceed expectations and aid in improving overall operations
Exercise critical thinking and prioritize tasks based on business needs
Contribute to the support system and demeanor for our clinic teams
Professionally address non-work related topics with the team
Prepare Weekly Reports to discuss overall equipment status and updates
Contribute to a high morale and stress-free environment
Ensure availability during all clinical operating hours
Communicate any support needed in advance and professionally
Properly utilize the communication channels with professionalism
Coordinate with the medical team to assist in additional equipment training
Maintain company vehicle in good standing and maintenance
Maintain a valid form of identification and clean driving record throughout employment
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain a minimum of 8 locations and or 100 medical devices
Self-sufficient and creating a work schedule
Support new clinics by scheduling time and meeting all equipment deadlines
Support new clinics by completing all checklist responsibilities
Excellent prioritization skills with high-priority to low-priority tasks
Apply attention to detail to all maintenance processes
Coordinate with 3rd party equipment repairs and facilitate issues/replacement parts and utilize efficient communication
Absorb and continuously learn all maintenance procedures Nomenclature of Parts
Part functions and interconnections
Fault isolation of electrical components
Optic Alignments
Energy Software Calibrations
Disassembly and reassembly of sub-components
Minor wire splicing, harness repair, and soldering
Schedule and perform routine maintenance on equipment and respond to on-call laser issues
Ability to reinspect and quality check all individual processes
Ability to request assistance to avoid negative business impacts
Ability to invest time into advancing and seeking more knowledge
Ability to manage stress and multiple issues efficiently
Timely service call submissions and meeting attendance
Ability to communicate professionalism and proper etiquette
Communicate effectively to all teams, including down equipment or estimated times of repair
Inventory Control- Maintain and account for all parts routinely
Ability to adjust Preventative Maintenance schedule given other urgent tasks
Ability to return damaged/repair parts and manage logistics effectively
Ability to professionally address recommendations to management
Ability to multitask while maintaining operational readiness
Availability- Flexible with the on-call schedule and the ability to adjust per the needs of the operation
Proficient computer skills including the use of email, video conferencing, Google spreadsheets, and ticket management systems
Team player and supportive while covering for others
Flexibility to cover out-of-state or out-of-territory remote clinics
Ability to provide minimal assistance for other departments such as IT or Facilities operations
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
Maintain ongoing communication with the management and clinic team
Knowledge of Electrical Safety and Theory
Strong drive to complete tasks timely
Maintain a clean driving record and valid identification
Critical Thinking skills
Punctual and accurate reporting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to develop management skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
Education, bachelor's degree in the following fields Biomedical Engineering
Project Management
Electrical Engineer
Any engineering
Electrician
HVAC
4+ years minimum of related experience is required
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Ability to work before, during, and after business hours, including weekends
Conduct video meetings with a professional appearance
Ability to organize the company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
Ability to maneuver and or climb an 8ft ladder
Ability to stand for periods exceeding up to 4 hours
Ability to drive up to 8 hours per day
Ability to roll and or carry a tool bag to and from each clinic
Ability to transport equipment up to 250lbs from location to location
Ability to load and unload equipment in a company vehicle with a ramp inclined at 25 degrees
Flexible to drive or fly to another territory and or out-of-state clinics
Support other Laser Engineers during time off, emergencies, or as requested by management
Ability to travel out of the territory for up to 5 days at a time
Must be able to lift 50 pounds for short periods of time
