We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design efforts for power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities: Serve as the lead electrical engineer on multi-disciplinary design teams, overseeing technical quality and coordination. Design and prepare construction documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems. Conduct evaluations and calculations for equipment, controls, and electrical systems performance. Manage design deliverables to meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to ensure alignment on design goals and technical decisions. Draft technical reports and correspondence to support project needs. Interpret and apply NEC, IEEE, and relevant building codes to all designs. Use CAD and/or Revit for electrical design work and drawing production.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years of experience in electrical system design for buildings. PE license in NC or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
P referred: Comfortable working across disciplines and using data to drive design choices. Creative problem solver who enjoys contributing new ideas and presenting solutions to clients and teams.
