Be part of our innovative Land Development team in Portland, Oregon, as a Design Engineer. We’re seeking a passionate, curious, and technically skilled engineers with a strong interest in land development. At BKF, you’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to impactful designs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

• Project Design for Site Development
• Grading and Drainage Plans
• Utility Systems for Water and Sewer
• Report Preparation and Master Planning Studies
• Preparation of specifications and cost estimates
• Projects include Residential, Commercial, Mixed-use, Roadway, Highway and Public Works projects.

Requirements

• 0 - 3 years of experience in site development and design of residential and/or commercial subdivisions, utility systems, roadways, and public works.
• B.S in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET Accredited Curriculum or equivalent required
• EIT/ FE certification preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus!
• Strong communication skills

Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations.

Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.

• The typical base salary range for this position is $72,000 - $91,4000 annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. This is an hourly position paid biweekly.
