Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Design Engineer with deep expertise in Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) design. This is a key role within the organization, responsible for leading the design of complex building projects and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with extensive experience in MBS software and a passion for developing and sharing their expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Design complex PEMB structures, utilizing MBS software to create accurate and efficient designs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of junior engineers.
- Mentor and train entry-level engineers (EITs) in PEMB design and MBS software utilization.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop optimal building solutions.
- Oversee the design process from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to industry standards and building codes.
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of building designs.
- Review and approve design drawings and specifications.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
- Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and design best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10+ years of experience in PEMB design, including experience with complex projects.
- Advanced proficiency in MBS software.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers.
