We need an experienced data engineer like you to help our clients find answers in their data to impact important missions-from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence. As a data engineer at Booz Allen, you'll help build advanced technology solutions and implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. You'll deploy and develop pipelines and platforms that organize and make disparate data meaningful. Here, you'll work with and guide a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. You'll use your experience in analytical exploration and data examination while you manage the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms for your clients. You Have: 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining relational or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server

5+ years of experience implementing database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization strategies

4+ years of experience supporting ETL and ELT pipelines in data ingestion, transformation, and archival within secure enterprise environments

3+ years of experience designing and managing data models, schemas, and access patterns aligned with application requirements

3+ years of experience applying data protection best practices, including encryption at rest, access control policies, and audit logging

3+ years of experience working with software development teams to define and support database requirements within Agile or DevSecOps workflows

2+ years of experience scripting or automating database tasks using SQL, Python, PowerShell, or Bash

TS/SCI clearance

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: Knowledge of Joint Combatant Command organizational structures

Ability to draft comprehensive documents to capture and codify work-related tasks

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
