Job Summary:
Client is seeking a skilled AWS Architect/Engineer to design and develop scalable cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building enterprise-grade AWS applications and guiding development teams in implementing best practices. You'll also work closely with cross-functional teams to develop robust, secure, and efficient systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS services Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle: planning, requirements, coding, testing, QA, deployment Develop large-scale data processing pipelines with technologies like Snowflake, Kafka, MongoDB, etc. Perform ELT using Snowflake stored procedures and work with Postgres databases Ensure performance, scalability, and uptime of applications Troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions Mentor development teams on AWS tools and best practices Create CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Terraform, HELM, and integrate tools like Snyk and Prisma for code/container scanning Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders Develop and implement APIs and microservices using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, Rancher) Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards (e.g., OAuth, OpenID, JWT) Utilize monitoring/logging tools like CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk Participate in Agile development processes and use test-driven de velopment
Required Skills & Qualifications: 7 + years of experience in cloud architecture, software engineering, or a related field Strong AWS expertise including VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2, etc. Experience working with Kafka, including producers, consumers, and connectors (MongoDB Atlas, Snowflake Sink/Source) Proficiency in Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB Atlas Advanced SQL skills and data modeling experience Programming proficiency in one or more: .NET, Java, Python, Go Experience in building microservices using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS or Rancher) Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure as code (Terraform, GitLab) Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT for secure authentication/authorization Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Bonus Skills (Preferred): CBAP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other relevant certifications Experience with front-end development frameworks such as Angular Familiarity with Swagger, RESTful API design Experience with on-prem to AWS migration Knowledge of DevOps and observability best practices
Front-End Experience (Bonus/Optional Role Overlap): Angular, .NET, Java, Swagger, MongoAtlas, Snowflake, PostGres SQL query development and API integration UI/UX enhancement and tools development Agile collaboration and test automation
