ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Candidate will assume a wide range of responsibilities with broad exposure to multiple divisions of the Evapco business. Their primary responsibilities are to assist the Business Development department in writing proposals, liaising with clients, preparing estimates, soliciting budgetary equipment and material bids from suppliers, and presenting the technology and proposals to clients both in person, spoken, and written. They will be expected to be able to work with sales representatives, end users, engineering teams, and proposals teams along with equipment manufacturers and partner contractors. Candidate will also be responsible for preparing thermal designs of air cooled condensers and air cooled heat exchangers using Evapco’s in-house performance modeling software, as well as hand calculations and using vendor software to generate designs for estimates. Effective and professional communication with clients and colleagues is required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering (exceptions may be considered)
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment including fans, motors, gearboxes, and vacuum equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all other disciplines
  • Ability to understand and interpret operations manuals, drawings, equipment datasheets, contracts, etc.
  • A self-starter, team player with discipline to work while traveling, has a practical and hands on approach, and the ability to prioritize tasks according to their urgency to ensure deadlines are met

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multitask, execute multiple simultaneous inquiries, and make sound commercial decisions
  • Exhibit professionalism, behave ethically, be detail orientated, and work with a high degree of accuracy
  • A general understanding of process and cooling cycles
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and/or other modeling software

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Maintain an acute focus on customer relationships, customer satisfaction and possess a proactive attitude in helping customers solve problems
  • Communicate directly and effectively with engineering, procurement, and sales representatives
  • Review vendor documentation (i.e. drawings, manuals, memos, functional descriptions, etc.) and project schedules to help ensure Evapco’s scope of work is properly estimated
  • Review client specifications with a keen focus on details and understanding of how specifications impact the product offering.
  • Safety training and drug tests may be required
Work in both an office and site environment with varying degrees of noise, outdoors in all weathers, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and scaffold, work at heights with stooping and bending
