ZScaler Network Engineer - ZeroTrust Experience

BAE Systems is seeking a Network ZScaler Engineer to contribute to the overall strategic vision of our government partner to analyze requirements, design/test solutions and deploy network components into production. Network and ZScaler Engineer will perform duties/tasks specifically related to ZScaler and CISCO solutions with a focus on ZScaler solutions and troubleshooting. This position can be remote and will require obtaining a US security clearance if candidate doesn't currently possess one.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy functional Zero Trust Components utilizing ZScaler and CISCO tools with in networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) - Resolve issues that have been escalated - Mentor team members and address user needs - Excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of Zero Trust administration and architecture - Author enterprise compliance standards and networking architecture - Collaborate with Technical SMEs and vendor relations - Create and/or maintain standards documentation, design documentation/templates/ topology diagrams and workflow documents.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelors with at least 8+ years’ networking experience. We *may* consider A ZScaler certification in lieu of some years of experience. In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) Operational experience with network platform technologies, including hardware refresh, software testing, software upgrades, and complex troubleshooting techniques High level experience with Cisco switches and ACLs Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Zero Trust Certified Architect from Zscaler (ZTCA) Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) Certifications Industry-related experience as a Network Engineer supporting the Federal Government Professional certification (e.g. Cisco, AWS Solution Architect Associate) desired Solid background in network administration and architecture Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds or Cisco Prime network tools) Strong to advanced knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC). Strong to advanced knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). Strong knowledge of network architecture and protocols Understanding of Interior Gateway Routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) configuration, BGP peering, BGP route advertisements, prefix-lists and route-maps, SSH and SNMP protocols High level understanding of multi-tiered application traffic flow, server load balancing, global load balancing, and routing Strong knowledge of incident management, problem management, and change management best-practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills due to the need to communicate extensively with remote team members, vendors and during time sensitive incidents Experience using network management tools and packet captures to resolve operational issues Experience with TGWs Sharp troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently Organizational and mentoring skills
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
