Job Description

The Wiring Systems Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of wire harness schematics for automotive applications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing harness architecture and wire routing based on product plan requirements.

  • Determining appropriate wire and fuse sizing to meet system specifications.

  • Implementing and optimizing CAN network layouts within the vehicle architecture.

  • Assessing product plans and translating them into harness complexity and schematic designs.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support harness design development, validation, and release.

  • Reviewing and interpreting wiring harness drawings and ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university

  • Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and DFSS development tools and processes

  • Working knowledge of CAD systems such as NX and Catia

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English

  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with automotive wiring harness drawings and specifications

  • Experience with web publishing and data management in SharePoint environments
