Position Overview:
We are seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of wired and wireless network infrastructure across our nationwide storage facilities. You’ll work closely with engineering, service, tech support, and installation teams to ensure reliable connectivity for IoT devices and critical systems. This position requires hands-on experience with wireless protocols, network hardware, and a strong troubleshooting mindset.
Core Responsibilities:
Design and deploy wired and wireless network infrastructure tailored to operational needs across storage facility environments.
Develop network strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, addressing latency, throughput, and connectivity issues.
Perform proactive maintenance and system upgrades to minimize downtime and security risks.
Quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues and outages.
Maintain detailed documentation for network designs, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, service, support, and field installation technicians.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and end users.
Participate in infrastructure reviews and propose new technologies where applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Networking, or related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience in wireless and wired network design, implementation, and support.
Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, etc.).
Expertise in wireless technologies, including 2.4GHz mesh networks and 800/900MHz frequency-hopping systems.
Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, cell boosters, and firewalls.
Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel up to 30%.
