Windows Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Onsite
ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Windows Cloud Infrastructure Engineer! This position is 100% Onsite working eastern time zone business hours but could require occasional onsite visits for critical meetings.

We are looking for a talented Azure & Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting a highly available and disaster-resilient infrastructure in Azure — with a strong focus on Windows Server, SQL Server Always On, and IIS-based application hosting. The ideal candidate will also have experience managing VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.

Your Responsibilities:
Azure Infrastructure & Availability:

• Architect and manage Azure environments including Virtual Networks, Application Gateway with WAF, Load Balancers, and VPN gateways.
• Design and support Availability Sets for web and API servers.
• Implement Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for cross-region disaster recovery.
• Manage Geo-redundant Azure Backups for business continuity.

Windows Server, IIS, and Virtualization Platforms:

• Deploy and administer Windows Server environments in Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware ESXi platforms.
• Host and manage IIS-based web and API applications, ensuring secure and scalable deployments.
• Manage core Windows services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS, RRAS, etc.
• Support VMware ESXi clusters, vCenter configurations, and guest VM lifecycle.
• Administer Hyper-V environments for staging, dev, and production workloads.

SQL Server Infrastructure:

• Deploy and maintain SQL Server Always On Availability Groups for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Ensure performance, security, and backup of SQL databases in both cloud and virtualized environments.

Automation & Scripting:

• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure health and automate alerts using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Collaborate with DevOps, development, QA, and support teams to ensure infrastructure supports application needs.
• Create and maintain infrastructure diagrams, documentation, and recovery procedures.
• Provide infrastructure support and participate in deployments, including occasional customer integrations.

Your Qualifications:
Core Technical Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Azure IaaS, including networking, HA/DR, and backup solutions.
• Expertise in Windows Server, including IIS, Active Directory, and related services.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, including Always On Availability Groups.
• Experience managing and supporting VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machine provisioning.
• Proficiency with Hyper-V for hosting and managing Windows-based workloads.
• PowerShell scripting for infrastructure automation and task orchestration.

Bonus Skills:

• Certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, MCSE, VCP, or Hyper-V MCSA.
• Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization

Soft Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
