We're seeking a future team member for the role of Mainframe Engineer (Exstream) to join our Technology team. This role is located in Jersey City, NJ. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Lead the technical design, development, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform document composition (Exstream) application systems. Develop well-designed, testable, efficient code and execute full lifecycle Exstream software development. Conduct reviews of test plans and test data; develop tests and test-automation suites. Integrate Exstream design manager, Exstream pods and DAS into fully functional systems and ensure application performance levels are met. Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for Exstream systems and cloud platforms. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, data teams, business users, and project managers to deliver elegant solutions. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. 7-9 years of software development experience, preferably in securities or financial services. Extensive experience with OpenText Exstream application development and support, including platforms such as mainframe and cloud. Extensive experience in Kubernetes, python, JAVA, mainframe and linux platforms. Proven ability to lead technical teams and coordinate work within projects. Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and structured methodologies. Experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and consulting on IT plans. Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $95,000 and $173,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
