As a Staff Software Engineer, youll play a key role in driving technical excellence and innovation, directly impacting Walmarts digital entertainment strategy. What Youll Do Design, develop, and test embedded software for Smart TV platforms Integrate and optimize video/audio features across device layers Ensure quality and performance for diverse video streams and codecs Develop unit and system-level tests in a BDD framework Mentor and train junior engineers What Youll Bring Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 10+ years of embedded software development experience Expertise in C/C++ (C++17+) and embedded system architecture Experience with RTOS/Linux-based systems and resource management Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills (Preferred) Knowledge of Smart TV standards, HAL, audio/video processing, BDD frameworks, and modern C++ design patterns At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
