This travel nursing assignment in the Operating Room will immerse you in a dynamic surgical environment, offering extensive exposure to specialties like robotics, orthopedics, laparoscopy, general surgery, spine, GYN, urology, and vascular procedures. You'll expand your resume by mastering the latest technologies, including Da Vinci Robotics, and benefit from collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Ashlands location allows for rich downtime adventures, whether youre strolling through historic districts, exploring scenic trails, or sampling local cuisine. Each day brings the best of both professional advancement and leisure exploration.

Schedule:

  • 36 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (11a-11p)
  • Overnight call twice a week, weekend call averages two shifts

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license (multi-state compact accepted)
  • BLS and RNFA certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years surgical assistant experience
  • Da Vinci Robot experience required
  • ACLS, CNOR, CRNFA preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience highly valued
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Function as First Assist in varied surgical specialties
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout perioperative phases
  • Maintain a safe and efficient operating environment, ensuring adherence to aseptic technique
  • Administer medications safely and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Participate in ongoing departmental quality improvement
