Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Location: Columbus, OH Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift | 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week Pay Rate: $2,100 – $2,300 per week Experience Required: Minimum 2 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will provide critical care to post-surgical patients with complex conditions, ensuring optimal recovery and patient safety in a fast-paced ICU environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to critically ill surgical patients in the ICU Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, hemodynamics, and neurological status Manage ventilators, IV drips, and advanced life support equipment Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and interdisciplinary teams Respond to emergencies and participate in rapid response/code situations Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery processes Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (or compact state) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/SICU experience Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required ACLS certification required Strong knowledge of critical care procedures, ventilator management, and hemodynamic monitoring Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
