Transport Engineer- IV

Responsibilities:
- After receiving market-level plans, customer capacity requirements and internal transport requirements the transport engineer is responsible for the timely creation of individual Capacity Creation Requests (CCRs) to initiate domestic network transport builds across both ULH and OTN Mesh networks.
- Applicant must have detailed logical (not physical) knowledge of SONET and Long-Distance transport systems
- The Engineer must have a good understanding of the transport network, to effectively Engineer and initiate network projects.
- Applicants need to understand dependencies such as space, power, fiber and diversity and how they will affect their planned projects
- Responsible for identifying and working with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve issues and to eliminate performance roadblocks
- Participate in regular team meetings and conference calls on the projects they are responsible for (edited)
Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, 10 paid days off, 401(k) plan participation, commuter benefits and life and disability insurance.
