About the Role

This entry-level role supports transportation and traffic engineering projects through data analysis, simulation modeling, and technical report preparation. The position involves evaluating intersection operations, roadway design, parking evaluation, and multimodal transportation systems using tools like Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to traffic impact studies and help shape safe, efficient transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct capacity and queueing analyses at stop-controlled intersections, signalized intersections, and roundabouts
  • Prepare trip generation forecasts
  • Assist with the written preparation of traffic impact studies, technical reports, and parking studies
  • Review roadway geometrics and signal timings
  • Evaluate roadway segment operations using both macrosimulation and microsimulation software
  • Evaluate bicycle and pedestrian operations and safety
  • Prepare parking demand analyses and parking assessments
  • May act as technical resource for client
  • Research local design standards for preparation of transportation studies
  • Travel to and from job sites, other offices, and meetings, as required
  • May perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Requirements

Education

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Transportation Planning
  • F.E. or E.I.T preferred

Experience·

  • Typically, 0 to 3 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of traffic analysis software, (HCS, CAD, Synchro, VISSIM preferred);
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD

Benefits

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $70,000-$80,000.
