JOB OVERVIEW:
A well-established company with a significant market presence in manufacturing and a positive work environment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for their plant located in southwest Atlanta, GA. The company is heavily investing in new capital equipment. The role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and involve planning and designing manufacturing processes, analyzing equipment layouts, optimizing assembly methods, and ensuring workforce efficiency to meet production goals. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software like SolidWorks.
Implement productivity enhancements for existing production lines.
Conduct root cause analysis of failures using statistical methods and recommend design changes, tolerances adjustments, or process improvements.
Develop and execute production processes for new products and modifications to existing products.
Perform FMEA's on new and existing product designs, materials, or processes.
Review product designs for manufacturability and process optimization.
Participate in cross-functional teams for optimal productivity methods.
Lead exercises in design of experiments, lean manufacturing, ROIA, and more.
Lead design review meetings for new and existing products.
Create work instructions, statement of work, spare parts inventories, and more.
Implement automation, robotics, vision systems, controls integration, and other processes. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (specifically SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office.
Prior experience in tooling, project management, automation, and heavy manufacturing.
Experience with robotics, PLCs, and manufacturing engineering.
Industry experience in a manufacturing environment.
