Job Summary:

Our customer is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individuals and experience in Testing and Deployment Engineer to join our team supporting the landscape of application for our trading floor. This engineer will play a critical role in integrating advanced mechanical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and efficiency in the production of next-generation battery and fuel cell technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end testing by defining test scenarios, documenting defects and ensuring that the product aligns to the target visions before it is used operationally by the business
  • Assist in drafting release notes
  • Develop release scripts and manage processes and tools used for releases
  • Verify that entry criteria for each release candidate is fulfilled prior to deployment
  • Plan and execute manual and automated deployments to staging, QA and PROD environments
  • Lead deployments, develop run books, develop contingency and rollback plans
  • Execute deployments to environments, while in parallel supporting ongoing application development

Trading & Financial Domain Knowledge

  • Trade lifecycle understanding: Order capture → execution → booking → settlement.
  • Familiarity with trading platforms (Murex, Calypso, Fidessa, Bloomberg TOMS, or in-house systems).
  • Knowledge of asset classes: equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives.
  • Understanding of market connectivity protocols like FIX, SWIFT, and proprietary exchange APIs.
  • Awareness of regulatory impacts (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank) on testing and deployment.

Technical requirements

· Area

· Example of tool or stack (need 1, not all)

· Test Automation

· Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest).

· Scripting Languages

· Python, Shell, or PowerShell for building automation scripts.

· CI/CD Pipelines

· Proficiency in Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or TeamCity to set up build-test-deploy pipelines.

· Version Control

· Strong Git skills, including branching strategies, tagging, and release management.

· Deployment Tools

· Experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Terraform for environment setup and configuration management.

· Containerization & Orchestration

· Docker and Kubernetes (often used for microservice deployments in trading platforms).

· Performance Testing

· JMeter, Locust, Gatling for load, stress, and latency testing

· Monitoring & Logging

· Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana to validate system health after deployment.

Quality Assurance Process Expertise

  • Writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing. Performing smoke tests post-deployment.
  • Validating market data feeds and trade booking workflows after changes.
  • Ensuring zero-downtime deployment strategies where possible.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills adapted to recipients (local IT vs global IT vs Business)
