PsiQuantum has determined the fastest path to delivering a useful quantum computer, years earlier than the rest of the industry. Our architecture is based on silicon photonics, enabling us to produce components at Tier-1 semiconductor fabs such as GlobalFoundries, leveraging high-volume semiconductor manufacturing processes used for billions of chips in telecom and consumer electronics. Photons' immunity to heat and electromagnetic interference allows us to utilize existing cryogenic cooling systems and industry-standard fiber connectivity.

In 2024, PsiQuantum announced two government-funded projects to support the build-out of our first Quantum Data Centers and utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois. Both projects are backed by nations recognizing quantum computing's potential impact and the need to scale this transformative technology. Job Summary:

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing test methods and infrastructure to validate and develop standard test flows for various electrical, optical, and electro-optical subsystems.

Responsibilities:

Review sub-system designs, including integration of optics, electronics, firmware, software, and thermal systems.

Design and build laboratory setups with light sources, detectors, switches, function generators, oscilloscopes, etc.

Develop software scripts to automate measurements and feed data into a database.

Create algorithms for data analysis to extract key performance parameters.

Develop test plans, procedures, and automated test flows.

Transfer test procedures and instructions to lab operations.

Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical sciences with 4+ years of industry experience.

3-4 years of experience with test automation.

Experience with optical and electrical test equipment such as power meters, OBR, OSA, oscilloscopes, function generators, VNA.

Experience designing or testing electro-optical sub-systems used in telecommunications or similar fields.

Experience with high-speed electro-optical devices and test equipment.

Experience developing test methods and calibration algorithms.

Ability to write scripts to control instruments; Python experience preferred.

Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
