CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Engineer III opening for our client in Wilmington, DE.

Duration: 18 months
Overview:
We are currently operating primarily in an on-premises environment and have an immediate need for a candidate with strong Windows application troubleshooting skills. As we migrate to Azure, experience in troubleshooting and deploying cloud solutions will be highly valuable. Skills in Ansible, PowerShell, and Terraform will be particularly helpful for automating processes. This role requires the ability to collaborate effectively with developers and managers, with some after-hours or weekend work expected for code deployments. Serves as an advanced technologist for an individual technology or set of technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with Technology management, senior engineers, and support teams to design, develop, and implement technical solutions that meet current and future organizational needs.
Perform infrastructure review, implementation, and design. Create support and architectural documentation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing.
Interact with business partners at various levels to ensure clarity of requirements and solutions.
Coordinate vendor interactions and manage vendor resources as needed.
Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators; review documentation and proposals from junior staff.
Stay current with Financial Services trends, practices, and technologies.
Follow and promote industry best practices, standards, and procedures.
Maintain working knowledge of applications, systems, and development environments, as well as vendor technologies and services used.
Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, identifying issues that require escalation.
Promote a diverse and inclusive work environment aligned with the brand.
Maintain internal control standards and ensure timely resolution of audit and regulatory findings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Lead and contribute to infrastructure and application projects from design to deployment.
Ensure smooth integration of new technologies with existing systems.
Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
May oversee small project teams or vendor resources for specific initiatives.
Education and Experience Required:
Combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.
Strong experience in Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
Azure troubleshooting and configuration expertise.
Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
Minimum 6 years in a technical engineering role involving infrastructure design, data management, system design, and/or complex application development.
Advanced skills in technical design, analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Expertise in industry and vendor technologies.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured implementations.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Knowledge of server/client and virtualization technologies.
Adaptability and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
