Job Description
Corvid Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Pacific Collector Range Safety System (PCRSS) on board the Pacific Collector ported in Portland, OR. This position will join the team providing engineering services to the safety and data collection systems for ballistic and hypersonic test missions at test ranges around the world.
This position will require a candidate that can operate and maintain the PCRSS system and subsystems to meet mission requirements. Candidate will focus efforts on installation, upgrades, testing, and maintenance of various systems to ensure they are missions ready. Candidate will use a wide variety of technical knowledge to keep the systems operating as well as execute the mission during several test events each year.
Tasking will include networking and system administration, telemetry collection and processing, command transmitters, and electronic/hardware troubleshooting including:
- Maintain and update systems and patches to comply with Risk Management Framework (RMF) & Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) requirements
- Provide architecture, analysis, design, calibration and operation of range instrumentation systems aboard the Pacific Collector
- Perform on-site system preparation, to include testing, troubleshooting, and repair or replacement of components during maintenance visits to the collector
The candidate will support mission preparation at corporate facilities, maintenance and upgrades while the collector is in port (Portland, OR) and execution from the Pacific Collector while at sea. Candidate will need to be comfortable working with a small team, extensive travel, and multiple deployments on a ship in the Pacific.
Requirements:
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance
- Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (or similar) - experience may substitute for degree if directly applicable
- Will be required to obtain, within three months of hire date, a Security+ or similar certificate qualifying you for DoD Directive 8570.01 IAT Level II and a Computing Environment certificate for Windows
