We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support a significant multi-year contract providing Timing and Synchronization to the Department of Defense. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on crucial projects that allow for autonomy and the exploration of advanced technologies. In this role, you will be involved in a high-priority, high-visibility implementation project for a major DISA Timing and Sync Program, taking charge of various tasks in close collaboration with our customers. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the successful upgrade, operation, calibration, and maintenance of the Defense Regional Clocks in accordance with JCID documents. Decompose JCID requirements as per the Timing and Synchronization Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Design, implement, and maintain IT systems and infrastructure, covering servers, networks, storage systems, and software applications. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze system needs, and create technical solutions that align with business objectives and security standards. Install, configure, and optimize hardware and software components to ensure their stability, scalability, and performance. Supervise a team of up to 5 systems engineers and technical writers on various tasks. Provide technical expertise and promote collaboration across cyber-systems infrastructure, network security, and various support teams. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including enterprise architecture, application/system design, and network architecture. Lead and participate in working groups to promote effective communication and problem-solving. Support the development of Engineering and Systems design documentation, and track updates to various deliverables. Contribute to the training curriculum and provide guidance to team members as needed. Assist in systems development, technical planning, integration, and verification and validation processes. Basic Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with databases. Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance. For this position, candidates must reside near one of the following locations: Ft. Meade, MD or Scott AFB, IL. This job is primarily remote, requiring occasional on-site visits. Pay Range: $85,150.00 - $153,925.00. Please note that this pay range is a guideline and actual compensation may vary based on various factors.
