Jaxon Engineering is looking for a Systems Engineer I to join our engineering team.


Jaxon is a distinguished leader in Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) hardening and survivability. We evaluate and design EMP systems and facilities and deliver high quality technical services. Jaxon is the only company able to offer turnkey EMP shielding products and services to our Department of Defense and commercial customers.


The successful candidate will be an effective team player, possess an ability to work in a team of other engineers, and be able to interface and communicate effectively with teams, customers, program management, and corporate leadership.


Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret and/or Top Secret security clearance

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

This position requires the ability to travel as necessary.

Primary Duties

  • Closely works with customers regarding project requirements, and tracks adherence through a project’s lifecycle
  • Works on interpreting and executing on a variety of deliverables as specified by customer standards and project requirements: test reports, test plans, traceability and verification matrices, and other various project specific documents
  • Coordinates with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed as planned
  • Analyzes and disseminates complex project requirements to leadership and execution teams
  • Plans and executes multiple engineering projects with limited oversight and direction
  • Provides succinct, accurate, and conforming deliverables to external stakeholders
  • Generates and presents a variety of technical documents (procedures, reports, presentations)
  • Complies with ISO 9001:2015 based traceability and verification requirement
  • Maintains documents-based system management
Requirements:
  • BS degree with 0-3 years’ experience, preferably in engineering or related discipline
  • Ability to obtain an active Dept. of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance per contract requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to be coached and to learn new skills in a rapidly growing industry
  • Possess strong personal and professional organization skills
  • Demonstrates project development and leadership skills for planning and overseeing projects
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic team environment with both collocated and geographically dispersed team members with varying experience levels
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for coordination and reporting work
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
