Job Overview
Client is seeking a Systems Applications Engineer who will drive IT enterprise applications' design, configuration, implementation, support, and troubleshooting.
They will be responsible for driving assigned projects from inception to completion. This includes all aspects such as internal and external communication, planning, scheduling, training internal customers, and resolving issues during implementation, go live, and regular application support.
The Systems Applications Engineer will be the primary internal customer interface and manage the support activities of enterprise systems. Limited travel to company locations will be required. They will also coordinate the internal resources needed for the assigned projects with a focus on positive communication and motivation of the team members.
The Systems Applications Engineer will also assist the organization with aligning enterprise applications compliance requirements for Aerospace and defense subcontractors with NIST, DFARS, and future CMMC cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Drive the assigned projects over the finish line.
Act as technical lead on implementing new systems and upgrades, including testing and knowledge transfer amongst other members of the Enterprise Applications Team.
Design, install, and implement application upgrades and patches of Enterprise applications such as Microsoft Great Plains, Epicor ERP, Salesforce CRM, and Microsoft Power BI.
Administer, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot applications to ensure minimal downtime.
Implement, update, and maintain data integration within Enterprise systems, including data transfer via firm middleware (One Stream, Jitterbit SQL, MS Power Automate), vendor software APIs, Web Objects, and other systems and integration as required.
Create notifications and monitoring jobs to address specific system issues and improve system uptime proactively.
Create scripts for automating administrative tasks as required.
Create and maintain application procedures, architecture, and workflow diagrams outlining application configuration, services, processes, security, and compliance configurations.
Work closely with DBA, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure application performance and availability.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for the administration and usage of enterprise applications.
Liaison with application owners and business units to achieve desired productivity levels.
Work closely with vendors to resolve enterprise application issues.
Work closely with internal teams to educate, transfer knowledge, and provide troubleshooting and problem diagnosis.
Propose changes and improvements to ensure optimal performance and reliability of applications.
Drive the execution of strategic initiatives at Integrated Polymer Solutions.
Education And Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressure.
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with team members, technical staff, vendors, and internal customers, leading technical teams to the successful completion of software upgrade projects.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
5 to 10 years minimum experience supporting enterprise applications like ERP, CRM, MES, or QMS systems in a Manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of MS SQL Servers (2014-2019), SQL Server Management Studio, and Query Analyzer, writing and analyzing complex SQL code.
Working Knowledge of Microsoft SSRS Reporting and Power BI Designer.
Prior experience with Epicor ERP, Salesforce CRM CPQ, and Microsoft Great Plains.
Experience with One Stream Financial reporting is a plus.
Excellent organization and communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Projects, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Aerospace manufacturing is highly preferred, but other manufacturing industries like automotive or Medical devices will be considered.
