The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.
Responsibilities
· Must be able to read engineering drawings.
· Must be proficient in Excel.
· Logistics Support Analysis, Heritage Assessments of equipment and systems.
· Set up indentured parts lists, analyze acquisition strategy for equipment and parts, identify maintenance significant items, recommend spares, set up min/max inventory, make/buy analysis, identify shelf-life items.
· Check supportability of training relating to equipment, identify consumables, chemicals, HAZMAT items and safety data sheets for commodities.
· Review existence of Operation and Maintenance Instructions (OMIs) for equipment, analyze transportability for new parts and equipment, internal/ external customer support, sustaining system support, ML-2 development, parts obsolescence.
· Other duties as assigned.
