Supplier Quality Excellerate Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing supplier programs for manufacturing, packaging and other operational processes, as well as ensuring that quality programs are in compliance with customer and Excellerate requirements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: A minimum of 2 years of related industry experience is required; a bachelor's degree in a business or engineering discipline is preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of related industry experience is required; Five (5) years of related industry experience is preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
- Ability to work well in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong ability to identify and solve problems proactively using structured problem-solving tools (FMEA, DMAIC, 8D etc.), including making timely and effective decisions.
- Apply systemic data analysis and problem solving to address a full range of technical and organizational problems with creativity, imagination, confidence and responsibility.
- Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze, interpret, validate, and communicate data to key stakeholders.
- Ability to seek out best practices and apply them within their assigned area.
- Ability to apply knowledge, logic and reasoning using mathematics, statistics, science, and engineering applications.
- Ability to design a system or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, efficiency, repeatability, environmental, health and safety. Includes documentation and controls to ensure long term sustainability.
- Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert for an assigned system or process.
- Ability to coach and mentor site support functions within assigned areas of expertise.
- Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to effectively lead projects involving cross-functional team members.
- Ability to learn and utilize a variety of computer programs such as Visio, Excel, PowerBI, and other applicable Excellerate software programs.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with others.
- Must have strong presentation skills and the ability to represent Excellerate in a professional manner.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of all customer and company information.
- General office equipment and materials.
Travel: 10-25% based on company need.
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Subject matter expert (SME) for supplier activities by managing, maintaining, and improving the Supplier Quality Manual as well as applicable Excellerate supplier documentation
- Provide leadership and management of Excellerate supplier related issues to ensure proper communication and associated activities within the organization
- Establish and drive supplier quality performance via supplier scorecard metrics for improvement by collaborating with Supply Chain and Procurement
- Manage the Part Production Approval Process for all new suppliers
- Monitor and drive supplier corrective action and improvement to address nonconformances, customer feedback, and repeat process issues via the Supplier Corrective Action Response (SCAR) process
- Ensure the supplier understands and meets all customer and Excellerate requirements throughout the lifecycle of the product, as well as ensure changes are communicated to suppliers on a timely basis
- Participate in the supplier approval process by visiting potential suppliers, conducting supplier assessments and For Cause audits per Excellerate procedures
- Serve as the primary customer contact for supplier quality in meetings, customer feedback and concerns, including supplier specification inquiries and requested supplier audits
- Engage team members and other Subject Matter Experts to address process concerns related to supplier quality.
- Assist and utilize the deviation process to ensure proper communication of supplier changes or concerns are communicated to the customer as required
- Lead the SCAR process in response to a customer request for supplier corrective action, including responding to complaints and inquiries in their system
- Maintain supplier quality records and build relationships with suppliers
- Participate in the Quality Planning, Process FMEA and Control Plan processes and other new production introduction activities
- Guide and assist in disposition decisions for Non-Conforming Material (NCM).
- Promote Excellerate initiatives to improve quality
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
