Supplier Quality Engineer (Bay Area – San Jose, CA) Location: San Jose, California (Bay Area) Type: Full-Time | Hybrid | 50%+ Travel Make a Difference in U.S. Manufacturing At Fictiv , we're building the world's premier platform for hardware manufacturing. As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) based in the San Jose Bay Area , you'll provide critical boots-on-the-ground support to our U.S. network of manufacturing partners—driving improvements, elevating standards, and ensuring customers receive nothing but the best. What You'll Do Drive Quality Excellence : Be the voice of the customer on the factory floor. Resolve nonconformances and lead root cause analysis and CAPA implementation. Partner Development : Onboard, assess, and develop manufacturing partners—leveraging control plans and scorecards to build quality in from the start. Continuous Improvement : Collaborate with sourcing, global quality teams, and the network to improve processes, standardize best practices, and share lessons learned. Remote + Onsite Engagement : Travel regularly to partner sites across the U.S. while using virtual tools to maintain momentum in between visits. What You Bring 5+ years in supplier quality engineering, preferably with mechanical hardware or parts Proven success in holding suppliers accountable while maintaining positive working relationships Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 , and general QMS principles Self-directed, data-driven, and process-oriented mindset Travel Frequent travel (51% or more) required throughout the U.S. Why Fictiv?
