In the role of Power Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Coordinating the work of the power design team through schematic design development and contract document phases Participating in meetings and reviews with governing agencies for code compliance Managing workload to meet project deadlines Conducting work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines Reviewing project documents for conflicts with other disciplines Writing and editing project specifications Coordinating with disciplines on addenda, RFIs, change orders, and incorporating changes into documents Providing construction contract administration as needed Performing QA/QC on work of team members as needed Performing additional duties as required Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of experience in Substation communication Experience with an engineering consulting firm Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard Power Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Revit) Commitment to our employee-owned culture What We Believe: HDR is our company.
