Position: Structural Engineer (PE) - Residential Design

Location: Maitland, FL 32751(Orlando, FL Area)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire - offering excellent benefits!
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM
Compensation: ~ +/- $90,000-$120,000 (Based on Experience)
Overview:
A well-established, employee-owned A&E firm in the Orlando area is seeking a licensed Structural PE to join their team. This individual will lead the design and certification of residential and light commercial structural projects, with a focus on Florida-based wood and masonry structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and certify structural design for residential and light commercial projects
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to meet deadlines and budgets
Perform structural analysis and prepare detailed design calculations
Draft and review structural plans and project documentation
Respond to RFIs, perform design and job site reviews
Collaborate across disciplines and support project construction phases
Mentor junior staff and provide QA/QC oversight
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

Active Florida PE license
~ 3-5+ years of structural engineering experience (wood/masonry structures)
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and RISA 3D
Solid knowledge of Florida Building Code and IBC
Experience with shallow and deep foundation systems
Familiarity with engineered wood products and truss systems
Strong communication and project coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Revit
Background in both residential and light commercial design
Knowledge of additional building materials (steel, concrete, etc.)
