Structural Design Engineer

A structural engineering firm in Boise, ID is currently hiring for a Structural Design Engineer.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Boise, ID. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Boise area. This position requires a minimum of 4+ years of experience in structural engineering and an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. A Structural Engineer (S.E.) license is preferred.

Pay $75,000$100,000/year (Depending on experience, tenure, software proficiency, and relevant job titles)

Location Boise, ID (Onsite)

Schedule Standard Monday Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee structural design and analysis for diverse projects, ensuring alignment with applicable codes and standards.
  • Develop and review technical documentation including specifications, reports, and drawings.
  • Perform site inspections to evaluate structural conditions and support construction activities.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical development.
  • Stay current with emerging materials, technologies, and industry practices to support sustainable and modern design approaches.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (non-negotiable).
  • 4+ years of experience in structural engineering, with exposure to residential, commercial, industrial, or component-based projects.
  • Skilled in structural design software such as RISA, Revit, and related tools.
  • Strong analytical thinking, communication, and documentation skills.

Disqualifiers

  • No active P.E. license.
  • Less than 4 years of structural engineering experience.
  • No experience with residential construction or structural design software.
  • No proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
