Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Staff Engineer focusing on manufacturing test development. In this role, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end testing solutions and software implementations for Optimus manufacturing testing. Your role in this demanding and fast-paced environment will contribute to the development of a groundbreaking product, aligning with our mission of achieving machine-to-build-machine capability. What You'll Do
Develop and implement manufacturing test coverage for Optimus general assembly lineCollaborate with firmware and hardware teams to develop test coverage, define metrics, align on firmware features and APIs for manufacturing testing implementationDesign and develop comprehensive manufacturing test software that may include connectivity tests, functional tests and system level self-testDebug and root-causing issues related to manufacturing testingDevelop and maintain scalable and reliable manufacturing testing software for high volume production, minimizing downtime, maintenance and deployment cost through tools such as cloud developmentLog, store and analyze test data to enable FA and design improvementsEarly engagement with cross functional development teams to drive DFT requirementWork with internal and external tester development partners on tester design and validation
What You'll Bring
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, similar degree, or equivalent experienceExperience in high volume manufacturing testing of actuators, sensors, electronics or related electromechanical hardwareExperience in hardware test framework such as OpenHTF, pytest, Robot Framework or similarFluency in Golang, Python and JavaScriptFamiliar with Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS)Experience in working with Linux OS and DockerFamiliarity with protocols such as CAN and EtherCATExperience with databases for test data storage, such as SQL (e.g. MySQL,Microsoft SQL), NoSQL (e.g. Mongo DB, Elastic search) databases, and column-storedatabase (e.g. Click House) and good knowledge of query optimizationFamiliarity with data pipeline/data visualization tools such as Telegraf, Kafka, and Grafana

Expected Compensation
$195,200 - $292,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
