We are currently searching for a talented Senior Structural (Bridge) Engineer to support our clients in the Southeast Region, located in Maitland, FL.

Pay: $150k - $200k The ideal candidate will lead the engineering team’s development of construction bid documents, design, and assist with business development activities. What you’ll be doing: Perform/supervise calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programs Perform/supervise load ratings on bridges of various types, sizes, and complexities Review calculations and design details developed by others Attend meetings with clients and other professionals and organizations Develop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraints Review shop drawings and other construction-related submittals Organize and maintain project files Quantity take-off for bridge project estimates Provide oversight and direction to junior engineering staff What you need to have: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Florida 10-15 years of engineering experience in bridge design Extensive experience utilizing FDOT specific processes, manuals, or guidance on bridge projects (minimum 10 years) Skilled in MicroStation and AutoCAD; experience with OpenBridge Designer is a plus Technical expertise in layout & design of bridges and highway structures Familiarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structures Knowledge of AASHTO and other bridge design specifications Master of Engineering preferred but not required Post-tensioned concrete design experience a plus Additional Information: Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Contract Job function: Engineering and Information Technology Industries: Staffing and Recruiting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Planet Group by 2x.
