Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid in-office, no remote) or Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid in-office, no remote)

Overview: Blue Yonder's Platform Data Cloud team aims to innovate in supply chain technology, serving as the backbone of Blue Yonder's SaaS products. This role is a key global architect focusing on SaaS platform engineering, from infrastructure architecture to enterprise and application platform features, to accelerate cloud data team delivery and quality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality design and implementation, shaping what is built and how.
Build production data ingestion and processing pipelines in Snowflake.
Have a strong understanding of Snowflake architecture.
Be well-versed in data warehousing concepts.
Expertise in Snowflake features and integration with data processing tools.
Drive product development across software development, deployment, and infrastructure.
Provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment.
Apply software engineering patterns to build robust, scalable systems.
Be skilled in Object-Oriented and Functional programming for product development.
Influence fellow engineers through design proposals and feedback.
Experience with large-scale Kubernetes systems and scaling services.
Design modular and service-based architectures.
Work with a global team across US, Canada, India, and Germany, requiring quick learning.
Current Technical Environment:
Languages/Tools: Java, Python, Groovy, GitHub, Node.js, React.js, Jenkins, Codacy, Checkmarx, Black Duck, BlazeMeter, Artifactory, Ansible, Docker.
Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event-driven, multi-tenant microservices.
Cloud: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtual Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD).
Frameworks/Platforms: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NoSQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake.
Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years experience in Snowflake data engineering and Python.
Overall 10+ years in IT industry; this is a senior role.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities: SnowSQL, Bulk copy, Snowpipe, Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Cloning, Metadata, Data sharing, stored procedures, UDFs, Snowsight, Streamlit.
Experience building scalable, robust data lakes.
Strong Snowflake expertise and experience with NoSQL datastores like Elastic, Postgres.
Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins.
Experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, GCP.
Strong analytical skills and experience leading software delivery in Agile.
Snowflake certification preferred.
Leadership experience in high-performing teams and enterprise multi-tenant software.
Salary Range: $122,219 - $189,615. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and location. Eligible for performance bonuses or commissions.
