Job Title: Sr. Specialist, Quality Process Engineer (Zeiss Calypso CMM Programmer) Job Code: 24452 Location: Onsite at Canoga Park, CA Schedule: 9/80 work schedule—work 9 out of 14 days, totaling 80 hours, with every other Friday off Job Description The Aerojet Rocketdyne segment of L3Harris seeks a Zeiss Calypso Programmer to join our Precision Measurement Room team. The ideal candidate will develop and coordinate CMM programs to ensure precise hardware measurements, meeting high-quality standards. This role requires familiarity with Zeiss Calypso software, CMM programming, and precision measurement techniques. Support for process efficiency and accuracy is also essential. Essential Functions Develop, test, and implement CMM programs using Zeiss Calypso software for complex components and assemblies. Support process improvements in CMM programming to enhance measurement efficiency and accuracy. Assist inspectors with inspection techniques, providing guidance on their advantages and disadvantages. Analyze measurement data, generate reports, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions. Maintain accurate records of measurement data and inspection reports. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve measurement issues and improve product quality. Provide training and technical support on Zeiss Calypso software and CMM equipment. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best measurement practices. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of relevant quality experience, or a graduate degree with at least 4 years, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred Skills Proficiency in Zeiss Calypso software. Strong understanding of GD&T. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and high accuracy. Certifications in CMM and related technologies. Experience with structured light and optical inspection systems. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience managing measurement projects. Salary range: $94,000 - $175,000.
