Sr Software Development Engineer, OEM Solid State Drives Team Join to apply for the Sr Software Development Engineer, OEM Solid State Drives Team role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Role Overview You will be a member of the HWEngS Storage organization, leading the design and implementation of software automation projects within the SSD team. Your work will involve building software services that automate workflows for the entire SSD lifecycle (qualifications, monitoring, diagnostics, firmware updates, replacements, EOL) at AWS scale. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver high-quality SSDs that integrate seamlessly into customer products, enhancing quality and performance. Lead software automation projects to improve SSD components used in NPI and fleet servers. Establish software best practices, author requirement documents, design comprehensive solutions, and develop diagnostic tools for ongoing monitoring. Design scalable, stable tools and infrastructure suitable for large-scale operations. Apply a growth mindset, troubleshoot issues deeply, and act swiftly to resolve customer concerns. Team & Environment The AWS HWEngS team creates industry-leading server designs for Amazons web services, focusing on efficiency and operational excellence. Our engineers tackle challenging problems and develop high-quality components critical to AWSs success. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of professional software development experience Proficiency in at least one programming language Experience in system design, architecture, and scaling Leadership experience as a mentor or tech lead Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of full software development lifecycle experience Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Strong understanding of Linux OS internals and storage subsystems Motivation to learn SSD/HDD technologies Excellent communication and collaboration skills Alignment with Amazons leadership principles Amazon is an equal opportunity employer.
