Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Mechanical (preferred) or Electrical Background (PE License Required)

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a background in mechanical (preferred) or electrical engineering, requiring a PE license. This role will focus primarily on projects within the higher education and K-12 sectors, with openness to other commercial markets.
Responsibilities:
Management:
Cultivate and expand crucial business relationships necessary for project success; engage in business development activities with existing clients.
Collaborate with the design team to finalize man-hour budgets based on discipline work plans, defining tasks and hours required for completion.
Liaise with clients to understand schedule expectations; propose interim milestones to ensure timely information flow, adjusting as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate and communicate project schedules to the team; monitor manpower needs and update resource projections in eResource.
Attend meetings with owners, clients, and architects; facilitate effective communication between clients and project teams; document key issues.
Technical:
Assist in developing project staffing plans and initial man-hour budgets in conjunction with Senior Project Managers, CRMs, Department Heads, or Location Leaders as appropriate.
Oversee the Construction Administration (CA) process by assigning CA personnel to ensure building systems adhere to design specifications and quality standards.
Possess a technical or bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline practiced by the firm, complemented by ten years of practical experience in similar projects.
Preferably have experience in healthcare building design.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science
Licenses: PE License
Market & Project Experience:
Focus specifically on higher education and K-12 markets, with consideration for other commercial sectors.
Experience in higher education, K-12, and federal government projects is beneficial.
