The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in the nuclear industry, technical depth in mechanical calculations, and a strong understanding of change control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and review of detailed mechanical calculations for components, systems, and equipment
- Ensure all engineering work complies with nuclear regulatory standards and internal quality procedures
- Manage and document change control processes, ensuring design traceability and version control
- Support engineering documentation efforts including specifications, datasheets, and technical reports
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve issues related to design, installation, and operation of equipment
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in the nuclear industry
- Strong familiarity with nuclear quality codes and design standards
- Proven ability to perform and verify complex engineering calculations
- Experience working with change control and quality assurance systems
- Effective communicator with strong documentation and technical writing skills
