Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
Scope of Role:
This position supports project management initiatives across capital investments, lean manufacturing improvements, and operational efficiency projects. A significant portion of this role involves working within the SAP system to manage and update manufacturing data such as routings and bills of material.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Business Units to create detailed project task lists and timelines for multiple concurrent projects.
Execute various project tasks across manufacturing and process improvement, aligned with experience level.
Monitor project schedules and report on progress and performance metrics.
Support equipment selection and procurement for capital and lean projects.
Analyze workforce utilization, spatial layout, and workflow to improve manufacturing efficiency in collaboration with Production Leaders.
Apply lean manufacturing tools to develop standard work and improve flow in production cells.
Facilitate quoting and procurement of project-related items and services.
Compile and manage project data including quotes, expenditures, and service records.
Create and maintain manufacturing routing sequences, bills of material (BOMs), and work instructions for clutch component production.
Synchronize manufacturing data in SAP for legacy products, including:
Revising BOMs and routing data (setup, run time)
Updating material master records
Generate technical documents to support process control and assembly procedures.
Participate in Kaizen and other lean manufacturing improvement events.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
1–2 years of related experience in manufacturing or operations project coordination.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
Technical degree or training is a plus.
